Convert AVIF to SVG — Raster to Vector
AVIF is a modern compressed raster format, while SVG is a vector format. Converting between them uses automated tracing to create scalable vector paths from pixel data. This is useful when you need to work with AVIF graphics in vector design tools or need resolution-independent versions of simple graphics.

Modern format with excellent compression. Limited browser support.
Apple's format. Excellent quality at small sizes.
Lossless format. Large files, ideal for print/archival.
256 colors max. Best for simple graphics.
Uncompressed bitmap. Very large files.
Vector trace. Best for logos and simple graphics. Not a pixel-perfect conversion.
Same format? You might want to compress instead.
SSIM-optimized — finds the lowest file size at your chosen visual fidelity.

Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.
Leave empty for all pages. Multi-page PDFs produce a ZIP.

Why Convert AVIF to SVG?
Create scalable vector versions of AVIF images for design tools, responsive web development, and print production. The tracer works best on simple graphics like logos and icons. If you have AVIF graphics from a web-optimized pipeline that need to go into vector workflows, this conversion bridges the gap.
How to Convert AVIF to SVG
Upload your AVIF file by dragging it into the converter or clicking to browse. Files up to 50 MB are supported.
KoalaPic decodes the AVIF and traces the pixel data to vector paths using automated edge detection.
Download the SVG file. Both files are deleted after 1 hour.
Quality Note
Results depend heavily on image complexity. Simple graphics with few colors trace cleanly. Complex photographic content becomes stylized vector art. AVIF’s lossy compression artifacts can introduce noise into the vector trace.
