Convert PEF to PDF — Share and Print
PEF files from Pentax bodies cannot be attached to an email or opened by a client. PDF turns them into a document that looks identical everywhere, and a batch can be merged into a single multi-page file.

Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.
Leave empty for all pages. Multi-page PDFs produce a ZIP.

Why Convert PEF to PDF?
PDF is the format for sending a photograph to someone who will not install anything. It prints predictably, embeds at a chosen DPI, and can carry a whole shoot as one file. Note that Pentax bodies can write either PEF or DNG straight out of the camera, so a shooter who picked PEF chose the proprietary option deliberately.
How to Convert PEF to PDF
Upload one PEF file, or select several to merge into a single document.
Each photo is decoded and placed on its own page at 150 DPI by default.
Download the PDF. Page size follows the image dimensions and the DPI you chose.
Quality Note
The photo is embedded at 150 DPI by default, which suits screen viewing and normal printing. Choose 300 DPI for print-quality output; the page geometry follows from the pixel dimensions.
