Frequently Asked Questions

No. The photograph is traced into flat vector shapes, so the result is a stylised, poster-like interpretation rather than a copy of the Canon frame. That is the intended effect — it scales to any size without ever blurring.

For photographic delivery, no. It becomes useful when a photograph has to turn into artwork — screen printing, vinyl cutting, sticker production, or a bold poster treatment drawn from a portrait or silhouette.

Polygon mode traces straight-edged shapes, which suit architectural and graphic subjects and keep the file smaller. Spline mode fits smooth curves, which flatter faces and organic forms but produce a heavier, more complex SVG.

A traced photograph can become thousands of separate vector paths and each one costs markup, so detailed Canon frames produce heavy files. Crop tight, raise contrast and reduce fine detail before converting for a much smaller result.
