Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.

Why Convert ORF to SVG?
An SVG stays sharp at any size, which no raster conversion can offer. Tracing a photograph is a stylistic choice: it flattens tone into shapes. Note that Olympus sold its camera division in 2021 and the bodies now ship as OM System, but the file format and the .orf extension carried straight over.

Quality Note
