Convert SVG to GIF — Vector to Palette Raster
SVG vector graphics and GIF are both excellent for simple graphics with flat colors, making this a natural conversion pair. Logos, icons, diagrams, and illustrations with limited colors convert particularly well from SVG to GIF. The 256-color palette is often sufficient for the kind of content typically stored as SVG.

Why Convert SVG to GIF?
Not all platforms accept SVG files. Some email clients, legacy CMS systems, and messaging platforms require raster images. GIF is a good rasterization target for SVGs that use flat colors and simple shapes, producing compact files with good visual fidelity. For SVGs with complex gradients, PNG is a better rasterization choice.
How to Convert SVG to GIF
Upload your SVG file by dragging it into the converter or clicking to browse.
KoalaPic rasterizes the SVG using the Cairo rendering engine and quantizes to a 256-color GIF palette.
Download the GIF file. Both files are deleted after 1 hour.
Quality Note
SVGs with flat colors and simple shapes convert very well to GIF. Complex gradients will show visible banding due to the 256-color limit. Note that SVG’s alpha transparency becomes binary in GIF (fully transparent or fully opaque).
