Convert AVIF to BMP — For Specific Requirements
AVIF is a cutting-edge format with the best compression available, while BMP is one of the oldest and simplest formats with no compression at all. Converting between them is an unusual requirement, but it’s needed when legacy systems or embedded devices require uncompressed bitmap data from modern image sources.

Why Convert AVIF to BMP?
Very few use cases need BMP from AVIF. This conversion is for legacy embedded systems, industrial equipment, or specialized software that requires raw uncompressed bitmap data. For any other legacy format need, PNG or TIFF are better lossless options. JPG is better for size-constrained uses.
How to Convert AVIF to BMP
Upload your AVIF file by dragging it into the converter or clicking to browse. Files up to 50 MB are supported.
KoalaPic decodes the AVIF and saves the pixel data as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP file.
Download the BMP file. Both files are deleted after 1 hour.
Quality Note
No additional quality loss beyond what AVIF compression already applied. The BMP will be dramatically larger — 50 to 200 times larger than the AVIF source. Consider PNG or TIFF as better lossless alternatives unless BMP is specifically required.
