Convert JPG to BMP — For Legacy Software
Some older Windows applications, industrial systems, and embedded devices only accept BMP files. Converting JPG to BMP wraps the decoded pixel data in an uncompressed bitmap container. Note that this does not improve the image quality — the original JPG compression artifacts remain in the pixel data.

Why Convert JPG to BMP?
BMP is required by some legacy Windows software, embedded systems, and industrial equipment that predates modern image format support. The conversion provides raw pixel data that these systems can process directly without needing a decoder library.
How to Convert JPG to BMP
Upload your JPG file by dragging it into the converter or clicking to browse. Files up to 50 MB are supported.
KoalaPic decodes the JPG and saves the pixel data as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP file.
Download the BMP file. Both files are automatically deleted after 1 hour.
Quality Note
Converting JPG to BMP does not improve quality. The existing JPG compression artifacts are preserved in an uncompressed container. The file will be dramatically larger — roughly width × height × 3 bytes — without any visual improvement.
