Convert TIFF to BMP — For Legacy Applications
TIFF and BMP are both lossless formats, but they serve different eras of software. TIFF is the professional imaging standard, while BMP is a simpler legacy format. Converting TIFF to BMP may be needed when very old Windows software supports BMP but not TIFF, or when embedded systems require raw bitmap input.

Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.

Why Convert TIFF to BMP?
Some legacy Windows applications and embedded systems support BMP but not TIFF. Since both formats store pixel data losslessly, the conversion preserves perfect quality. The BMP file may actually be larger than the TIFF because BMP has no compression while TIFF uses LZW.
How to Convert TIFF to BMP
Upload your TIFF file by dragging it into the converter or clicking to browse. Files up to 50 MB are supported.
KoalaPic reads the TIFF pixel data and saves it as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP file.
Download the BMP file. Both files are deleted after 1 hour.
Quality Note
Lossless to lossless — zero quality loss. The BMP may actually be larger than the TIFF because TIFF uses LZW compression while BMP is completely uncompressed.
