Convert WEBP to BMP — For Legacy Systems
WEBP is a modern web format that some legacy systems cannot process. Converting to BMP produces an uncompressed file that virtually any software can read, including decades-old Windows applications and embedded systems. The trade-off is a massive increase in file size since BMP has no compression.

Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.

Why Convert WEBP to BMP?
Legacy embedded systems, older Windows applications, and some industrial equipment require BMP format. Converting WEBP to BMP decompresses the pixel data into raw bitmap format that these systems can process directly. For most modern uses, JPG or PNG are far better choices than BMP.
