Convert ICO to HEIC — Compact Apple Format
An ICO holds several square versions of one mark. HEIC is Apple's compact photo format, so this conversion belongs to a workflow ending in Photos, Notes or an iOS app rather than on a website.

Why Convert ICO to HEIC?
HEIC gives roughly half the size of a JPG at matching quality and drops straight into Apple Photos. For an icon the saving is trivial in absolute terms — this is about fitting a workflow, not saving bytes.
How to Convert ICO to HEIC
Upload your .ico file.
The largest entry is extracted and encoded as HEIC, keeping its alpha channel.
Download the HEIC. It opens natively in Apple Photos on macOS and iOS.
Quality Note
HEIC is lossy but keeps an alpha channel, so transparency survives where it would not in JPG. At icon dimensions quality 90 or above leaves no visible difference.
