Convert RAF to HEIC — Half the Size
RAF files from Fujifilm cameras are 25–55 MB each and open in almost nothing outside a RAW editor. HEIC is the compact alternative: roughly half a JPG's size at the same quality, and native to Apple Photos and iOS.

Why Convert RAF to HEIC?
HEIC gives roughly half a JPG's file size at the same visual quality and drops straight into Apple Photos. Outside Apple's ecosystem support is patchier. Note that most Fujifilm X bodies use an X-Trans colour filter array rather than the Bayer pattern everyone else uses, so RAF files need a different demosaic to resolve correctly.
How to Convert RAF to HEIC
Upload your RAF file, or a batch of up to 50.
KoalaPic decodes the Fujifilm sensor data and encodes HEIC at quality 85.
Download the HEIC. It drops straight into Apple Photos on macOS and iOS.
Quality Note
HEIC at quality 85 matches JPG visually at roughly half the size. It is an 8-bit rendered image, so it does not restore the latitude the RAF held.
