Convert RAF to BMP — Uncompressed
RAF is Fujifilm's RAW format. BMP is what you convert to when something downstream demands uncompressed pixels: some older Windows software, imaging SDKs and embedded systems accept it and nothing else.

Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.

Why Convert RAF to BMP?
BMP applies no compression at all, so it is far larger than PNG with no quality advantage — both are lossless. It exists in this list because some toolchains still require it. Note that most Fujifilm X bodies use an X-Trans colour filter array rather than the Bayer pattern everyone else uses, so RAF files need a different demosaic to resolve correctly.
How to Convert RAF to BMP
Upload your RAF file. Up to 50 MB per file.
The RAW is decoded and written as a 24-bit uncompressed bitmap.
Download the BMP. Be ready for a large file — there is no compression at all.
Quality Note
BMP and PNG both store the decoded image losslessly, so the pixels are identical — BMP simply stores them uncompressed. A 26–40 MP frame lands around 70–110 MB.
