Convert RW2 to BMP — Uncompressed
RW2 is Panasonic's RAW format. BMP is what you convert to when something downstream demands uncompressed pixels: some older Windows software, imaging SDKs and embedded systems accept it and nothing else.

Lossless format — files can be large
GIF is limited to 256 colors
Best for logos, icons, and line art. Photos produce stylized results.
BMP files are uncompressed and can be very large. Consider TIFF (LZW) or PNG for lossless with smaller file sizes.
Leave empty for all pages. Multi-page PDFs produce a ZIP.

Why Convert RW2 to BMP?
BMP applies no compression at all, so it is far larger than PNG with no quality advantage — both are lossless. It exists in this list because some toolchains still require it. Note that Panasonic uses RW2 across two very different sensor sizes, so file dimensions vary far more between Lumix bodies than they do within most makers' ranges.
How to Convert RW2 to BMP

Download the BMP. Be ready for a large file — there is no compression at all.
Quality Note
BMP and PNG both store the decoded image losslessly, so the pixels are identical — BMP simply stores them uncompressed. A 20–25 MP frame lands around 70–110 MB.
